The American Himalayan Foundation
Through her expeditions to Everest, Susan Ershler became aware of the needs of young girls in Nepal, where prostitution trafficking is all too common and funds for education and health expenses are scarce. We give a portion of every keynote presentation to the American Himalayan Foundation’s Stop Girl Trafficking program which sponsors over 14,100 girls in Himalayan schools each year.
This program empowers girls and young women to live their dreams of becoming teachers, social workers and valued members of their communities.
Upwards of 20,000 girls from the poorest parts of Nepal are trafficked every year, you can help. Click here to learn more »
